Preston Davis

Saxophonist • Educator • Performer

Preston Davis is a saxophonist from Clinton, Mississippi, currently pursuing a degree in Music Education at The University of Southern Mississippi. Equally at home on the concert stage, in the jazz ensemble, and at community events, Preston is known for his versatility, expressive musicianship, and commitment to connecting with audiences through music. Recent highlights include winning the William T. Gower Concerto Competition, performing Takashi Yoshimatsu's Cyber Bird Concerto with the USM Symphony Orchestra, and appearing as a selected performer at the 2026 North American Saxophone Alliance Conference.

Whether performing contemporary concert works, jazz standards, or patriotic favorites, Preston approaches every performance with the same goal: creating meaningful musical experiences that leave a lasting impression. His passion for the saxophone has led him to study with distinguished artists and educators from around the world, participate in national conferences and festivals, and collaborate with musicians across a wide range of styles and settings.
